UNISTREAM Money Transfer System Was the First to Receive a Single European Licence in the EU

UNISTREAM international express money transfers system has received a single European licence for remittances in the European Unity, told the Chairman of the board of directors of “Unistream” bank, Board chairman of “Unibank” Gagik Zakaryan to the Russian newspaper “Vedomosti”. The licence to UNISTREAM GERMANY company affiliated with “Unistream” was issued by the German financial regulator BaFin and UNISTREAM was the first among the Russian companies that received such permission. “Getting the licence is a milestone for the business development of the company in Germany and further on through the EU countries with permit of the regulators of other countries, said Gagik Zakaryan. – To get the permits will be easier since according to the EU legislation the issued Unistream licence is pan-European.”
Today Unistream functions in Europe: the sale points of the company are located in the Great Britain, Cyprus, Greece, and Germany. UNISTERAM has business in 95 countries of the world. In 2009 Unistream services were rendered to about 6 million customers.
The availability of such licence will enable Unistream to open direct sale points at the European market and increase the income. All other money transfer systems work linking up the exterior European companies, the Russian companies do not have own service.
The share of UNISTREAM in Armenia makes about 50% of the money transfers market of Armenia. Remittances via Unisteam system in Armenia are made in all the 33 branches of Unibank. It is significant that beginning from June “Unistream” money transfer system has decreased tariffs to 0.45% on money transfers exceeding 3 000 USD, EUR or 100 000 RUR. Remittances amounting to 3 000 USD, EUR or 100 000 RUR are made at 1%. If the money transfer from Russia is made in AMD, the transfer tariff regardless the remittance sum makes 0,35%. These tariffs are valid if transfers are made between the own service points of Commercial Bank “Unistream” and Commercial Bank “Uniastrum Bank” in Russia and “Unibank” CJSC in Armenia.
