“Unistream” launches new tariff for remittances to Armenia – 1%

Unistream will introduce 1% tariff for all remittances to Armenia starting June 1, 2010.
The tariff will be effective in all offices of Unistream and Uniastrum banks.
Such unprecedented step was taken as result of a thorough analysis and is aimed at minimizing the cost of remittances from Russia to Armenia. The campaign is supposed to last till August 30, 2010.
However, the system’s management does not exclude the possibility of prolongation u till the end of 2010.
1% tariff will serve as a sound stimulus for the entire market, as it will show that UNISTREAM can both provide high-quality services and stay affordable. Besides, the system will preserve several interesting options for its clients. Specifically, 0% tariff for remittances in national currency will remain effective as well.
Controlling the major share of Armenia’s market, UNISTREAM managed to increase the number of its clients by 6.7%, bringing them to 136000. The total amount of remittances through the system reached $91mln in January-March in Armenia.
